CNS is the conventional acronym for “central nervous system,” which includes the brain. Our lab name is an intentional nod to the organ of behaviour.
The CNS Lab logo is original artwork by Steve Smith (Dla’kwagila), of the Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw peoples. Steve used ovoids, traditional in Pacific Northwest native art, to create a brain-like image. Click here for more about Steve and his work.
